Great Sand Dunes National Park, located on the eastern edge of the San Luis Valley in south-central Colorado, is a landscape of mountains of sand and fleeting shadows. Here, Christina Nesset dabbles a line of footprints along the curving back of a small dune on a barefoot tromp toward the skyline.
