A musher and his dogs compete in southwest Colorado in a dogsled race in the winter of 2006 - 2007. While the Mancos Mush, a local dog-sledding event, will not be held this winter, San Juan Stage Racing will continue Jan. 22 - 25, 2009, with a race that starts in Dolores, Colo., and travels along the San Juan Skyway to Manco, Durango and Silverton (sanjuanstagerace.com).
