At Last and At No Surprise, Still Free

January/February by Jan Nesset

If you've been paying attention, you're not surprised by what you're holding in your hands, a full-color glossy magazine. With the last issue we said adios to the newsprint tabloid and promised that this issue would arrive as a magazine with every page in full color, and with more pages - all still free. We hope you like what we're becoming. Ahead you'll see more changes, hopefully improvements, while we work out the bugs.

Whatever you think of our cosmetic changes, we're still who we say we are, "a local's guide to what's really up in the Four Corners," a duty we take seriously.

So open up and say "aaah," because in the pages ahead you'll find coverage of the Four Corners region, from things to do and places to see to opinions and rants - and in our new Gallery section some pretty pictures from around the Four Corners.

Better yet, there's more of us. We're eight pages "more" to 56 and up one new columnist. Flagstaff writer and all-around knucklehead Michael Wolcott debuts his column "Southwest of Normal." Don't let his column's title confuse you, because, as he said, "I don't know what it means, either. If I write really hard, maybe I'll find out." His first whack at hard writing for Inside/Outside Southwest appears on page 41.

We're here to serve. Let us know how we're doing.
